The Founder

Dr. Yitzhak Hess a Ph.D. graduate of the University of Zurich, Switzerland received his degree in Chemistry and Physics. After many years as a Chemist in a major chemical manufacturing concern in Israel, Dr. Hess became certified and licensed to practice Patent Law by the Israeli Patent Office in 1961.

Dr. Hess sat on the Examiners' Board which certifies new Patent Attorney applicants. In addition Dr. Hess was a foreign member of the Charted Institute of Patent Agents in London, a member of good standing in the Israeli AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriete Industrielle), a member of the Association of Israeli Patent Attorneys, a member of LES (Licensing Executive Society), a member of the Israel Group of ALAI (Association Litteraire et Artistique Internationale), a member of FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle), and a member of ECTA (European Community Trademark Association).

The Firm's Manager

In 1996 Mrs. Cila Hess-Milutin joined the Firm as a Partner. Mrs. Hess-Milutin is a graduate of Ben Gurion University of the Negev, with a degree in Biology. Mrs. Hess-Milutin is a member of the Israeli Group of the AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriete Industrielle) and sits on the Directors Committee of that organization. She is also a member of the Association of Israeli Patent Attorneys, a member of FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle), a member of INTA (International Trademark Association), a member of LES (Licensing Executive Society) and a member of ECTA (European Community Trademark Association). Moreover she is a member of the official committee (appointed by the Minister of Justice) for the harmonization of Patents, Designs and Trademarks Rules.

Mrs. Hess-Milutin also sits on the Examiners' Board which certifies new Patent Attorney applicants.
